"Forced Endeavours Never More' is a piece I made using the flute sounds of a mellotron when testing out vintage musical equipment in Tokyo some time in 2008 - 2009. A part of the recording was used for the Rion album 'ホタル', although I actually made this as a live loop using a 14 second loop pedal (an Akai Headrush which is still my main pedal today) with a digital delay unit. It was recorded to my Fostex X-18 recorder in the store itself and I just love how it gently builds, plus that washed out mellotron flute...bliss.

Let's put it this way- this is simply one of our favourite works ever!...A collection of variations on a theme that drift by, perfuming the air, or that stop a moment to whisper you a story. Evocative in its sparse beauty, We are sure this will been the permanent playlist always, right alongside Arvo Part's "Alina" and offthesky's "Silent went the Sea" ....ss/tm/am editions vaché
